 -Bukas daw sisikat ang araw!

Heard that joke before…? Well, kaya ko naman nabanggit ito kasi I have this nephew (Red), he was watching the news (and its on the weather report) then suddenly Kuya Ace comes in the room and asked Red “Ano balita…?” as pambati, and guess what Red said… “Uulan daw po bukas!” nagalit ang Kuya Ace thinking pinipilosopo sya! (kilala kasi ang batang yun as pilosopo!) hehe! But di namin alam kung serious, innocent answer ba yun o kapilosopohan… So every time Kuya Ace will ask me ano balita… I’ll just say “uulan bukas!”

Anyways, ano balita? I haven’t heard much from you guys… siguro busy kayo masyado… Ako eto, struggling to get an SSN! I am pursuing different options, pero each option eh pumapalpak… Sana maayos ko naman to so I could take the board exam. Other than that issue… ok naman ako dito… Enough about me… balita naman galling sa inyo! Hintayin ko mga e-mails nyo!

2005 San Diego Comic Convention! Woohooo! But before that… hmmm… The week before that! Hehe! The week before that we watched Fantastic Four with Kuya Eddie (Kuya Norman’s friend and kapitbahay namin sa Pilipinas) the movie was great! Panoorin nyo! Hmmm… Speaking of Kuya Eddie… Kuya Eddie works for the Comic-Con, and guess what…? Binigyan nya kami ng free passes! Not just ordinary passes… PRESS passes! (pero, wala naman akong pakialam kung anong pass yun… basta FREE ok sa akin!) hehe! Well, I was shocked, stunned, astonished, amazed, surprised, astounded, flabbergasted, dumbfound, incredulous, overwhelmed and dazed! In short… nagulat! Hehe! Ang daming as in ANG DAMI ng mga nagustuhan ko, toys, comics, and movie memorabilia, people in their favorite comic book characters. Ang saya! I really enjoyed my comic con days. Just see for yourself! Next year uli!

We spent our Independence Day at Presidio Park, where we planned to watch the fireworks from Sea World! But before that ,we (Kuya Ace & T’ Fanela with their kids, Melanie, Christian and Mikaela) went to the Del Mar Fair grounds… Shopping! Rides! hehe! Habang nasa galaan kami, sina Kuya Norman and Kuya Michael naman eh nasa park preparing a picnic! Hehe! Hmmm… yung fire works display eh… parang War of the Worlds! Luge! Luge! Mas maganda pa ang sa Pilipinas! Woohooo! Hayaan na… Araw ng Kalayaan nila to… Pagbigyan!

My first official “gala” in San Diego is in San Diego Wild Animal Park then hulaan nyo kung saan yung sunod…? Hmmm… San Diego Zoo! Mahilig ba ako sa hayop? Di naman siguro halata! Hehe! Seriously, I enjoyed going to San Diego Zoo but seeing those animals trapped in cages made me cry… Naalal ko lang si Gayzelle, I’m so happy for her… kasi malaya sya, not like those animals in the zoo. Gayzelle, live free! LIVE FREE!

Second week… From Vegas, we (Mama Emma, Papa Pepe and I) went to Kuya Norman (Mama&Papa’s son and my ninong!) to San Diego, at doon… doon ako ngayon nakatira! Hehe! That week we went to LA to go to Turon’s birthday party, some “HI’s”, “HELLO’s” and lots of “KAIN NA’s” After that, we went to my uncles and aunties (also in LA)… Again some “HI’s”, “HELLO’s” and again lots of “KAIN NA’s” (What would you expect eh puro Pinoy!?!) After that tiring day, we drove back to San Diego and called it a day!

But the week was not finished! That same week we went back to LA. Mama and Papa attended a wedding rehearsal and I spent a three day vacation with my Uncle Poldo and Auntie Linda! Those three days were fast and it was time to pick me up and go the wedding! The best thing about weddings (other than the fact that two people are bind as one) is the reception…
